Terms and Conditions for Website Use, Registration, Purchases and Events - Alta Vista Leadership

What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions that apply to this website, and when registering, purchasing a ticket, and attending the Ignite Innovation event in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 17-29, 2023.
Who we are. Alta Vista Leadership is a DBA of Westfall and Associates LLC, a Texas based corporation, with principle address of 11152 Westheimer Road, Suite 143, Houston, TX USA 77042. Contact us by following this link. "The Organizers", "We" "Us" and "Our" refers to Alta Vista Leadership. "Participant" "Participants" "Attendee" or "Attendees" refers to anyone who registers, pays for and participates at the Ignite Innovation workshop in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Registration. Our acceptance of a registration will take place with your payment, at which point a contract will be formed between us and you.
Privacy. Your confidentiality is guaranteed, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in this document. Your contact information and details will never be shared with a third party. You understand and agree that your email information and other details will be used for communication purposes, by Organizer and Karen Mangia, up to, during and after the event. All secure transactions for Ignite Innovation attendance are conducted via Square.
Cancellation & refunds. Per the Ignite Innovation web page, please note that Attendee payment is non-cancellable and non-refundable after July 17, 2023. After this date, any investment will be applied to future events, programs, and coaching.

Conduct at Live Events:

Honesty, respect and openness are expected from all participants.

All event participants are expected to behave in a professional manner and in accordance with local laws and regulations with regard to workplace behavior.
Harassment will not be tolerated in any form, including but not limited to harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other status protected by law.
Alta Vista Leadership reserves the right to exclude any individual from participation in any event, or expel any individual currently in attendance in any event, who engages in unprofessional, disruptive or harassing behavior, without refund.
Event participants are expected to be honest and transparent with one another in their interactions with other participants as well as event facilitators.

Attendance, Cancellation and Indemnification for Ignite Innovation, August 17-19, 2023:

Access credentials sharing is NOT permitted. It is prohibited for attendees to share access credentials. Event participants violating this policy may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the Alta Vista Leadership.
Event Cancellations & Changes. Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone this event at our sole discretion. In the event that attendance is not sufficient to cover projections, the event will be cancelled and your investment will be (1) refunded in full or (2) applied to future events, based on your selection. If we cancel or postpone the event due to other circumstances (also called "force majeure" or "Act of God", including but not limited to illness, death, fire, civil unrest, transportation issues or other unplanned challenges), we will use reasonable efforts to reschedule within six (6) months from the original start date. Registration fees paid by registrants for a cancelled or postponed event shall be applicable to the rescheduled event and be considered paid in full for the equivalent ticket, or refunded, based on participant choice. Event dates and times are subject to change.
Photos, Screenshots & Recording. Participants may take still photos or screenshots of speakers and content during Ignite Innovation, and share them on social media. Any unauthorized video recording of the sessions, longer than one minute, is prohibited - regardless of whether the recording or video is shared online, offline, live or archived. Event participants violating this policy may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of Alta Vista Leadership. If Participants take still photos or screenshots and post them on social media, attendees agree to adhere to the following guidelines: (i) do not post material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes infringement; (ii) do not post material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous, derogatory, or libelous; and (iii) do not post material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state.
Video and Photo Access. Attendees may be offered photographs and videos, from the event, produced by Alta Vista Leadership, if the event is recorded and/or photographed. By registering for Ignite Innovation, you agree to the following release terms for photos and video recording: Participant hereby grants permission to the rights of my image, likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration. Participant understands that his/her/their image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and Participant waives the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, Participant waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of his/her/their image or recording. Participant also understands that this material may be used in diverse educational settings, or marketing contexts, within an unrestricted geographic area.
Liability Disclaimer: No Professional Advice
While the guidance expressed at the workshop represents the professional opinion of all who participate, that guidance must not be mistaken for professional advice. Attendees agree and understand that the Organizer and all associated parties make no guarantees about the results of taking any action, whether recommended by this website, subsequent communication either in person or electronically, or via any other interaction with Organizer and assigns. The information contained in or made available by Alta Vista Leadership, Karen Mangia, other presenters, audience members, panelists or their websites or services cannot replace or substitute for the services of trained professionals in any field, including, but not limited to, accounting, mental, financial, medical, psychological, or legal fields. Organizer does not offer any professional personal, accounting, medical, financial or legal advice and none of the information contained in the Seminar should be confused as such advice. Neither the Organizer nor their assigns, sponsors, speakers, partners, contractors, employees, interns, representatives or any of their affiliates will be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, special, exemplary or other damages to the Attendee or the Attendee’s business, including economic loss, that may result from participation in the Seminar or from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials, information, or strategies communicated through the Seminar or any products or services provided pursuant to the Seminar, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To be clear: You, the Attendee, alone are responsible and accountable for your decisions, actions and results in life, and by your participation in our Seminar, Attendee agrees not to attempt to hold us, the Organizer, or any associated party, liable for any decisions, actions or results that you make or experience in business or in life due to your participation in this Seminar at any time, under any circumstance.
Indemnification and Release of Liability: By registering for the Ignite Innovation event Participant(s) agree to the following terms: Participant, as a willing Attendee of the Seminar, hereby accept all risk to my health and of my injury or death that may result from participating in Ignite Innovation, and Participant hereby releases Alta Vista Leadership, Chris Westfall, Karen Mangia and their officers, agents, employees, interns, contractors, sponsors and representatives from any and all liability to me, my personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to my property and for any and all illness or injury to my person, including death of Participant, that may result from or occur during my participation at the Seminar, whether caused by negligence of the Organizer, Heartland Film, Karen Mangia, any officers, employees, or representatives, or otherwise. Participant(s) further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alta Vista Leadership, Karen Mangia, Heartland Film, and any third-party company from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while attending and participating in the Seminar. Under no circumstances will Alta Vista Leadership, Karen Mangia or their assigns be held liable for my injury or death or any loss or damage to my health or well being or my personal belongings resulting from my participation in the Seminar. Should Participant require emergency medical treatment as a result of accident or illness arising during my attendance and participation in the Seminar,Participant hereby provides advance consent to such treatment. Participant acknowledges and agrees to be financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may be incurred as a result of emergency medical treatment. Participant agrees to notify Alta Vista Leadership verbally and in writing if Participant is at any time injured prior to, during, or after the Seminar in my travels or attendance, or if Participant has medical conditions about which emergency medical personnel should be informed; however, Participant(s) understand that Alta Vista Leadership is not legally obligated to act on that information in any way or to providing any medical service whatsoever to individual attendees. Participant agrees that if there are any pre-existing medical or psychological conditions or illness that may hamper me from fully and healthfully participating in the Seminar or being a potential danger to other attendees that Participant will notify Alta Vista Leadership, and that the organizers retain the right to ask that Participant not engage in portions of or the entirety of the Seminar
Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA.
Policy Modifications. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. Every time you wish to use our site or register with us, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
